Understanding Seat/Section Colours

What do the different section colours mean?

When you are zoomed out, you may see sections of the map that are grey, light blue, and/or dark blue.

Grey means the section does not have any seat available at this time.

Blue means there are available seats within the section. Light blue means the available seats do not match your selected search filters (or that you haven't selected any filters), and dark blue means the available seats match the selected filters.

What do the different seat colours mean?
  • Dark blue means the seat is available for purchase and matches your selected search filters.
  • Light blue means the seat is available for purchase but does not match your search filters. Note that you can still purchase these seats.
  • Grey means the seat is not available for purchase.
  • Orange means your cursor is over that seat or you have already added it to your selected seats.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

What does "You may not leave a single unoccupied seat" mean?

If you see this message above the map, you may not leave an empty seat at the end of a row or between selected seats. The note will become orange during seat selection if this happens.

Why can't I check out?

The two most common reasons for this are:

  1. You have exceeded or have not met a ticket limit. For example, a special discount may require you to purchase a minimum number of tickets.
  2. The event does not allow you to leave single seats behind, but you have left a single unoccupied seat at the end of a row or between selected seats.

If either of these occurs, you will see an error message when you click Checkout. To fix the error, change your seat selection before clicking Checkout again.

Why does the map keep refreshing?

The Interactive Seat Map auto-refreshes periodically to ensure that you are seeing up-to-the-moment seat availability.

Can I purchase accessible seats using the Interactive Seat Map?

It depends on the event and venue. Look for a wheelchair icon on the map and see if the section has availability.

Why is the Interactive Seat Map not available for every event?

We plan to make the Interactive Seat Map an option on as many events as possible.

High-demand events are the exception. When a popular event first goes on sale, for example, we will require purchase using the Best Available Search Seats to prevent major delays caused by too many fans trying to buy the same seats for the same event.

Can I buy seats without using the Interactive Seat Map?

Yes. Click Best Available Tickets above the map, and then select the number of tickets you want from a dropdown menu. You can further narrow your search using the optional price and section dropdowns. Finally, click Find Tickets. We will find and reserve the best available matching seats for you.
